I build software, lead engineering teams, and explore how we can trust the systems we create.

My focus today is agentic AI. As systems take on more responsibility, I want their decisions to be explainable, their work verifiable, and their actions traceable.

My work connects software architecture with product thinking. I care about how a system behaves in the real world, how people use it, and what happens when it fails.

I build prototypes, write essays, and lead talks and workshops to explore these questions with other people building software.

I coined terms like FONA (Fear of Not AI-sking) and the signature, and wrote the free book How to Use AI Without Lying to Yourself.
